Welcome to Mujeres Cambiando El Mundo , a nonprofit empowering women globally to create positive change in their communities.
I, Bildia Ruano Castellanos, give all credit to my loving Father in Heaven for entrusting me with the mission and giving me the strength and love in my heart to endure life’s challenges through His refiner’s fire I’ve been forged by His loving hands as to be ready to take upon me the stewardships He sees fit to bestow upon me.
Throughout my life I’ve learned to trust Him and to be guided by Him for I am but a humble servant and as His beloved daughter I am here to do as His divine guidance will allow me to accomplish.
As Founder of Mujeres Cambiando El Mundo (Women Changing The World), and as President of The Marine Foundation Guatemala and a member of the Marine Foundation’s First Ladies Club in the Academic Department, embodies a spirit of service and dedication to improving the lives of women and vulnerable communities. With a lifelong passion for helping those who cannot speak for themselves, Bildia has been a champion for humanitarian causes, mainly focused on empowering women, supporting single parents, and advocating for survivors of domestic violence. Through her work with the Marine Foundation, she enhances the organization’s impact and amplifies her vision for a more compassionate world.
Bildia’s background is rooted in an upbringing filled with love and service, instilling a deep appreciation for people who dedicate their lives to making the world better. This upbringing shaped her philosophy that helping one person creates a ripple effect, positively impacting the lives of many others. She believes that uplifting and comforting those in need can transform their lives, giving them the strength and resources to thrive in challenging circumstances. This belief has driven her to launch various humanitarian projects, including one of her most notable initiatives: *The Resting Bench Single Parent Program*.
The Resting Bench Program is a beacon of hope for single parents who face the difficult transition from having a partner’s support to managing life on their own. As part of a nonprofit organization, this program provides shelter, support services, and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence. It also offers education, awareness, and resources to the community, all at no cost. The program is designed to help single parents regain stability, focusing on self-sustainability projects and innovative solutions like Smart Homes built with cutting-edge construction technologies. Bildia’s initiative helps restore dignity and security to those in need by offering a bridge through this challenging phase of life.
In addition to supporting single parents, Bildia’s humanitarian efforts extend to several other vulnerable populations. For instance, her *”Refugio”* project focuses on providing care for older people, ensuring they receive the attention and resources they need later. She also works on reintegration programs for people experiencing homelessness, helping them transition back into society through education, housing, and employment opportunities. Furthermore, she has developed initiatives to provide nutritional products for older people and children facing life-threatening conditions. Through these projects, Bildia demonstrates her commitment to addressing various social issues, ensuring that her work reaches those often forgotten.
Her membership in the Marine Foundation’s First Ladies Club, particularly within the Academic Department, further amplifies her influence. This elite group, composed of visionary women from around the world, is focused on advancing global education and humanitarian efforts. By collaborating with other influential leaders, Bildia can share her expertise in project development and humanitarian work while learning from different international initiatives that can be adapted to Guatemala and beyond. The synergy within this network allows her to strengthen the Marine Foundation’s mission of fostering sustainable development and social impact across borders.
Bildia’s unique expertise in securing funding for humanitarian projects is another asset she brings to the Marine Foundation. She is well-versed in helping others find financial resources for their projects. She assists in business transactions, including buying and selling precious metals and stones, monetization, and global trading programs. This economic understanding is crucial for her projects and for empowering others and organizations to realize their dreams of making a difference. By guiding others in securing the necessary resources, Bildia ensures that more humanitarian initiatives can flourish, creating a broader global impact.
Her approach to humanitarian work is holistic, recognizing that people’s needs are interconnected. Whether providing safe shelters for single parents, nutritious food for malnourished children, or reintegration support for people experiencing homelessness, Bildia’s projects address immediate and long-term needs. This comprehensive vision is crucial for sustainable development, ensuring that the communities she serves survive and thrive.
In conclusion, Bildia Ruano Castellanos represents the epitome of leadership and compassion within the Marine Foundation and beyond. Her deep-rooted commitment to humanitarian service, particularly in empowering women and vulnerable populations, is impacting Guatemala and worldwide. Through her visionary projects, financial expertise, and collaboration with the Marine Foundation, Bildia is helping to create a more just, supportive, and empathetic world for women, children, and underserved communities. Her work is a powerful reminder that when we uplift one person, we can ultimately uplift an entire society.

Débora Ruano Fletcher was born in Guatemala--the land of eternal spring! Her deepest joy comes from being the mother of 10 wonderful people (8 boys, 2 girls), and grandmother of 4. To improve her motherly skills, Débora decided to study Psychology and Family Science at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Natural Medicine.
With the goal of helping her children have hope in the future, Débora has been involved in understanding world issues and policies regarding family. She has attended and presented at international conferences like the United Nations—UN, The Organization of American States—OAS, and other world conferences in Africa, Jordan, Colombia, Switzerland, South Korea, New York and other local conferences in the US..
Her organization--Sustainable Families--has as a goal to improve the lives of native peoples worldwide, especially those suffering from extreme poverty inside their own countries e.i. the Mayans in Guatemala. During her decades of volunteering, traveling and studying she has been able to design a program that has the potential to change the plight of the unborn children in these needy communities. This will be accomplished beginning with nourishing the future mothers with more natural and digestible protein so their bodies can produce children with fully functioning brains. Also by instructing current parents on how to let go of their internal poverty, so they can have a prosperous life, with health, education and better nutrition within united and resilient communities.
She has a strong conviction that the family, specifically mothers, are the catalyst to improving society and solving its modern, seemingly insurmountable challenges.
She is currently working on a global movement to help women flourish and reach the measure of their creation as a co-founder of XtraOrdinary Womanhood.

It is time to take action and show humanity how the heart works in the equation. Between all the turmoil and chaos, love is more powerful and we as carriers of such power and of light can conquer what no one else can.
